I have an existing wireless network with a 3rd party router. I tried to connect Airport Express; everything worked fine using the Airport Utility, except that after updating the configuration and Airport Express restarted, it could not be detected anymore.
Solution:
- Plug in Airport Express to a power source.
- Reset Airport Express by pressing the reset button. (We have to wait until the LED light flashes.)
- Connect Airport Express to the router with via ethernet.
- Connect to the wireless network provided by Airport Express. (The network name looks like “Airport Base Station …”)
- Using Airport Utility, set up Airport Express so that it joins the wireless network we already had.
- Wait until Airport Utility reports that the update was successful.
- Disconnect the ethernet cable from Airport Express. We’re done.

As we read the story of Samson in the Book of Judges it is hard not to notice the distress he went through. At the same time we wonder “How come Samson is mentioned in Hebrews chapter 11 as a hero of faith?” Most of preachers or commentators that I read would give explanation such as “Samson did not give up trusting/believing God till the end.” But that doesn’t seem to be an enough reason to be cited as a hero of faith, considering the overall teachings of the Bible.
The question regarding Samson’s faith was finally answered in a very important stage in my life through the published sermons of Dr. Hong-chun Kim. Thanks to God for sending a preacher like Dr. Kim to the church. His sermons helped me tremendously in appreciating the historic reformed faith.
In this post, I will try to summarize and translate the main points of Dr. Kim’s exposition. It will inevitably reflect my understanding; so if there is any mistake, it is due to the error in my part. I encourage you to read Dr. Kim’s original sermon which is much more detailed and thorough.
The state of the church in our day and age is not too different than that of the days of Samson. May our Lord Jesus Christ bless us in reading the story of Samson, open our eyes, and allow us to see the necessity of the faith that Samson had.
And further, lest they should indulge their torpor, Paul, by his own example, stimulates them to anxious groanings, and bids them, as long as they sojourn on earth, to desire death, as the only true remedy to their evils; and this is the right object in desiring death. Yes, I am one of those guys who ordered Snow Leopard to arrive at my door step this morning. (It was free shipping by the way.) I think it is well worth the upgrade money. The upgrade actually gave an extra 10 Gbytes of free space.
Snow Leopard officially launched today. Seamless upgrade; it simply "works".
After installing Snow Leopard, I found that Quicksilver that I installed in the past did not function properly (the Preference would not load). This problem was solved by deleting the folder “~/Library/Application Support/Quicksilver” and installing version B56a7.
Update:
- The Services Menu Module crashes with Snow Leopard. So don’t install that.
- The trigger “Select (null) in command window” will not work in Snow Leopard. But one can always use Command+G (⌘+G) for that purpose after opening the Quicksilver command window.

Just got Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000. (Google shopping page here.) It’s a great mouse, and the reviews are nice.
Now, this mouse has a 3rd and 4th button. One can configure it on a mac so that say, the 3rd button works with Exposé and the 4th opens the Dashboard. These can be configured in System Preferences > Exposé & Spaces
